Shallow Plowing With Horses

Real shallow plowing without a plow. I wonder if it will freeze out. :)^D

I didn't get a fence up to keep the stallions off the pasture and it now looks like plowed ground. Setting here thinking about spring and how I will tackle
it. I was thinking of subsoiling it rather than plowing. I do have a smaller Glenco that the 961 pulled when I was farming. I would need to have help
bringing it here from the factory. The single subsoiler is here and works behind the Allis 5020. This is so stressful i think I will eat a butter cookie or
four.

RATHER THAN TILLAGE DO YOU THING SEVERAL PASSES WITH A GOOD CULTIPACKER AFTER A GOOD RAIN WOULD WORK BETTER?
Then some spike tooth harrow work? Or reverse the two?

Have you corraled the horses off the field? If so, freezing and thawing should mellow out the compaction. Then the recommendation below should work well.

No they are not. I have been trying to get a fence up all summer. When It would get dry enough to get out there in my wheelchair to drive fence posts I had other stuff that needed immediate attention.

Inthe spring when its dry use a drag harrow with the teeth pretty flat maybe some wt on the harrow it will smooth out good
