The Glasgow tractor, made in Scotland as a competitor to the Fordson Model N. Drives on all three wheels.

The Sanderson made in Elstow, Bedfordshire. Not a very successful version, later tractors with a different layout were very popular. They had four wheels though.

The Sendling-Benz, claimed to be the first ever diesel powered tractor in the world. The only tractor I have ever seen fitted with stabiliser wheels at the back like a child's first bicycle. Later versions had four wheels.

Nice pictures. Thank you for posting. It is nice to see tractors from different parts of the world.

Strange as it might seem, the cast iron seats were quite comfortable with a straw filled sack and the spring mounting. The most uncomfortable ones were some of the later tractors where the seat went straight onto the hydraulic/rear axle housing with little thought to any suspension.

I always wondered why John Deere quit putting springs on their seats. They must have been a little hard on the butt and back, but farmers bought them anyway! Sometimes engineering goes backwards!

Thank you Majorman. Great pics from not only a long ago era but also from a land far away. Wingnut
