2013 Chevy Silverado 1/2 ton transmission filter

I changed my transmission filter on my 5.3 -6 speed automatic yesterday.is their a trick or procedure to get the pan all the way off?the exhaust was in the way of it dropping down and components in the transmission wouldnt let the pan move far enough forward.I did have it sagging enough to replace the filter though

Take the bolts out of the transmission mount and jack the back end of the transmission up.

A well placed pry bar is your friend. The exhaust will flex just enough with a pry bar to get the pan out.

How many miles on your truck and what did the filter look like? Thanks, I have a 13 too, but only 60,000 miles.

What's my trick?
Twice I've had my filter and fluid changed at All Tran.
Change it every 60k because I pull a trailer.
Fluid change is cheaper than a rebuild.

153,000 it had 101,000 on it when I bought it.I believe its recommended to have it serviced every 50,000 miles
