Cleaning radiator

I mowed parts of the CRP to knock down the thistles and small trees coming up in it. The radiator screen was covered with a thick layer of fuzz. I blew it out with the air hose the first day and didnt get it all. I finished yesterday and cleaned it out this morning. I used the shop vac and it worked really good.

Thats your protective grille and I do the same thing. I made a gadget to clean our your radiator when you have other finned coolers in front of it. Take a length to suit the size of the cooler, of 3/8 copper pipe and cap/close one end and attach an air line with a shut off valve at the other. Drill half a dozen small holes opposite each other at the capped end and have at it. Works great and blows out things that a water hose doesn't, being dry. Just keep the PSI at a reasonable level depending on the sensitivity of your fins.

I have strapped a cheap furnace filter in front of the grill or radiator and it works great.

I added a 15" piece of steel brake line with a 90 deg bend on the last inch to my blowgun. Blow the radiators out from the back. Works pretty good.
