I figured that would get you stirred up,but i had a 8430 and a 4620, loved both of them, still have the 4620!! 165 hp just as easy as you please!

Ha. I had one of those too, a '65 as I recall. Bought it used in Gulfport, MS and didn't even have a heater...hot water 6, 3 on the tree. Did have an AM radio. Only vehicle I ever had that threw off part of a fan blade and wouldn't you know it happened on a trip and severed a water hose. Was pretty for what it was.

I believe TimS has a jd green pickup. I've seen pictures he's posted here. I'm not sure how much yellow is on it.

Back in high school one of the guys had a mid fifties Studebaker sedan. He had painted it John Deere green and had various JD decals all over the car. Co-incidentally his dad had the JD dealership. Wish I'd taken a picture of that one.

Never saw a pickup painted in JD green though I did see where somebody painted an H in JD green with Yellow wheels. Looked different to see. I guess he wanted a JD and didn't think he could afford it. Or else wanted to see if anybody noticed. I miss that tractor drive/show at the bridge. Lots to see and anything under the sun shows up there. Sometimes even ones that need dragging to start.

I never saw it but my father-in-law had an old Chevy pickup (late 40s) that he brush painted John Deere green because that is what he had. He said it needed it bad but it wasn't much of an improvement. Just a different color of ugly.
