Same here in SE SD, way too dry late summer and fall. Finally got some snow, just a little cover,so dirt won't blow so bad, but we need a BIG BUNCH more!

One of my grandfather sayings was....We can't have winter until the frog ponds are full. It's pretty much has been true. Until this year. We had some rain but no ponds and now we have snow and cold.

Our little cafe was and is called the Busy Bee and
that’s where to find farmers about 9am daily. My
dad did custom Ag work and made most business
arrangements there. Then I took the equipment and
did the work. One old fellow loved to say “a man
can get hurt working on a wet day”.

Way too dry here,the lagoon is three feet low and it is going to freeze solid. And when it does that poo has to go somewhere.
