Anyone trying to use this? Tried a little while ago to look up parts for CIH tractor, and couldn't make it work. It had obviously changed since I last used it. I wasn't sure if I needed to re-register, or not. I tried, but couldn't get all the way through that.
Then, just earlier this week, after a discussion on here involving NH, I tried looking up a 451 mower, and it worked! I hadn't "logged" in. I clicked on a part number, and it took a little delay, but up popped the price! So, I go back and look up the parts I've been buying for the tractor, to find how much the dealer has been gouging me!

Both CNH and Deere are in competition as to whom can come up w/most user UNFRIENDLY WEB SITE. Loved the cd's CNH used to offer.

They’ve changed it . It used work good and easy new Holland the same way now it takes some messing with to find what you want

Funny, other than the lack of NLA part listings, I found the new site EASIER to use.

On the old site, good luck finding the parts book for a Farmall A, B, C, H, or M. You'd get the first 50 matches of whatever contained the letter, which did not include the Farmall A, B, C, H, or M.

On the new site, you type in "Farmall M" and it is showing you the exact match the moment you finish typing.

If I need to switch tractors, I'm not bouncing from icon to icon to icon just to get back to the beginning. The beginning is right at the top of every page.

I did have to create a whole new account, but it went quickly and smoothly. Maybe they changed it so you don't need an account.

Last time I used it, was very easy to use. I had changed the o-rings where the hydraulic lines fasten under the pump on my 450, and it gushed- then I found out that the o-rings are a non-standard IH only size, std diameter but thicker. Found them on the site (had a little advantage from hanging around my gramps old dealership as a kid, pictures are still the same lol). So off to the closest dealership with the part #, handed it to the counterman and said I need these o-rings for a 450, he says what's a 450? Had him look up the number while I looked up a pic of a 450 on my phone, he says I have those in stock, came back with them, they were $3. Showed him the pic of the 450, never seen anything like that, I asked how about an M? Blank look again, never heard of an M

I am trying to learn how to use the parts lookups for both CNH and John Deere. This is what we are having trouble with, the drawings are less defined and they change the names of things. Like this air/heat control console for a 2755 John Deere became a gear shift console. Once we get our new crop of parts people trained to these new terms, especially the ones that have never turned a wrench. The real confusion will be complete.

You'll never get them trained because "parts people" is not a career anymore. It's a part time job for a teenager, like working the register at McDonalds.

Time any "parts people" that are smart enough to do the job get trained, they are on to bigger and better, because they are smart, and are moving up in the world quickly. What you are left with are the ones that are either not motivated or lack the smarts to get a better job.

I agree 100%, seen alot of great parts people come and go. I learned a long time ago to look up my own numbers and it helps so much. I have become a lot more tolerant of the freshman parts person, but it still is an aggravation I deal with nearly everyday. My son works at the local mom and pop Carquest store, and could make more money tossing boxes in trucks for FedEx or UPS. He has learned alot in the last 3 yrs, and is often requested by customers for his knowledge, but I definitely can understand all sides of this issue.
