I have an restored 'stock' F12 on rubber. 11x36 tires. I have my 'modifyed' F-12 with the 2.8 v6 and 13x26 combine tires. The 'hot rod' 12 weighs about 300lbs more than the restored one. AtA tractor pull last year,I pulled both.Guess which one out pulled the other? The restored stock one did!The hotrod screamed, throwed dirt and then spun out.The 'hotrod' needs to be kept wound up. It has no low end torque. It just falls on it's face. The stock tractor just dug in and walked till it ran out of power.I was totally amazed,so was the crowd. Our little antique club pulls on percentage basis, not distance. That lets everyone play on a level plane That prevents the 'big money' guys from winning it all. Lets the 'poor boys play on an equal footing.. Sometimes the old 'rust buckets acctually out pull the new high dollar 'restores/modifyeds.BTW,we dont give prizes or trophys. All you get if you 'win' is bragging rights for the day.My little 'bone stock' restored F12 won bragging rights that day!
