Update on trailer brakes

I pulled the hubs off the magnets were not moving in and out and also the actuator arms were froze up got them working but the magnets are worn pretty bad with grooves in them the hubs also have some grooves in them I'm going to let the local trailer repair guy change out the parts I've never done water tight connections before like on the magnets so I'll let them do it right. Thanks for all the replys Rick

I'm glad you chose to do it right. Most guys go and buy new shoes and don't think about the drums and magnets. When we do one,, and we do a lot of them, we replace the whole backing plate assembly with everything new installed on them. Replace the drums ,if necessary, repack the bearings and replace the seals and check and make the necessary repairs to the wiring and plug to complete the job. When it leaves it has good brakes.
