I am working on an Onan CMQD 10000 diesel generator. I have replaced the line/hose from the fuel filter to the injectors and the rubber return line to the tank. Both were cracked and leaking. Now that I have those repaired I see a slow leak where the steel fuel line from the tank goes into the filter. This is maybe a 3/8 steel line with a flare fitting where it enters the filter. That is where the leak is. I have very limited access to the engine compartment as it is built into the side of a truck. My thought is to cut the line 3 or 4 inches from the fitting and splice a new piece in but don't know how to connect to a steel line that has no Barb or even a bulge on it. Can I use a ferrel and fittings?
Any other ideas?
How much fuel pressure do I have into a 3 cylinder Isuzu engine?
Thanks
