Click on Modern view and your join date and number of post show - I am assuming that to be the date of your first post, since one could read posts for years without being registered.

On classic, go to the bottom of this page, click options, check "show poster details".

It will then show yours, and everyone else's date and number of posts.

The left column listing in Modern View is not always correct. I've been posting since in the 1990s and my Modern View info says 2008. I've changed internet providers - that might be the reason.

Maybe YT folks can "shed some light" on the subject.

(quoted from post at 09:54:41 07/18/20) Here is your first post 09 Apr 2011, but your post mentions you posted a question in March 2011.

These likely get you real close but there are several procedures that can cause various counters to reset. Migration/conversion to a new database is one, or maybe to a new machine is another. It shouldn't but it happens sometimes, and maybe not always noticed at the time. Generally when counters are reset it is decided to let it go unless there is some critical reason to have the counters accurate.

For example a computer migration from IBM mainfram to Digital VAX in 1991 caused 200+ older homicide cases in the crime reporting system for Wichita to be reset to the same date, time, and location. Of course that mattered and we still had the original data so we cleaned up the procedures and re-ran the conversion, but for something like forum post count we likely would have let it go.

In June 2007 passwords needed to be reset I spec this is when modern view came about I messed mine up and started over as a newby... I am not a big fan of post counts are status I did not have an issue with starting over are my join date being displayed like I have seen a few use it to pop you with when challenged...

I'm more interested in when my LAST post is gonna be ..... and the reason for it happening (shudder) !!!

I used to go by another name years and years ago but somehow, I was notified that someone else was using it but I have never seen anyone else post with that original name then or since. Can't remember the details of changing over to a new handle. I would hate to change again, look how many years it took me to garner the respect and appreciation everyone passes my way now when I post.

This is the 1st post by you that I can locate. Maybe the search function doesn't go back far enough. IIRC a few yrs ago Chris had to reset some join dates. I think my join date is incorrect but I know I been posting on this site a long time.

There was some big technical glitch several years ago and everybody's info was reset to that date and the number of posts was reset to zero. Thats also the reason the archives only go back so far. There were quite a few of us who still has some of our info on here, others had like their join date, but zero post count, and vice versa. Others are just out there in cyberspace somewhere.
