Belarus 562

Hello,

I know the Belarus has been discussed quite a bit on this site. I'm thinking about buying a 562 model which is where I came across this site. So, seeing everyone's wisdom about tractors, I wanted to reach out to ya'll. If I get the tractor, I'll be using it to dig small ponds, move and transport fallen/cut logs, clear some brush, and fill in logging truck ruts, among other things. So my question is this: Can the Belarus 562 handle the job? (Of course, I'm assuming it is good working condition, which it appears to be.)

I appreciate everyone's input in advance.

If the price is right It will be no problem I have one and it works as good as anything else except it is non synchro trans which means you stop before shifting. Controls are in weird position but you get use to it. Cheap on fuel and just don't get in a hurry and things work ok. Grease the release bearing every or every other day if doing lots of loader work. That is the only thing I have done on mine so far. I paid $4200 with 7 ft snowblower that I really haven't used yet. just use the loader

You can pick them up for less than scrap around here they
aren’t to bad for what they are you’ll want to add some ballast
if you’ll be playing around on hills if it has the twist top shifter
then can be a little bit to figure out but not to bad Of a tractor

The only thing that I will say is, farm tractors are not
built to dig ponds, or other excavation type work.
Dirt or gravel are far heavier that the kind of
material the loader was designed to lift. And the
frame will not stand up to a lot of digging into the
ground, just not built using heavy enough materials
or design. The tractor it’s self, maintenance and
proper use, and the tractors will serve well.

Yes but

The other grey tractor song that I've met is about this. Can't find it ATM

It is my understanding that they have down pressure on the 3 point which would be handy at times.

Sounds like a small crawler tractor would better fit your needs. Trying to clear land or do much digging with a farm tractor loader usually doesn't end well.

$4200!?!? I know smaller tractors are the hot item right now, but this guy is asking $7500 and it comes with a fork lift on the loader. I was already planning on bargaining but this gives me more hope.

Whatever tractor I buy will be my first, so I don't think the unusual placement of controls will bother me; I don't know what usual is.

I appreciate the info!

Used to be a few around but not any more. Last one I saw was about 40 mile from me and for the last 3? years it was setting in barnyard in same spot like it never was moved. Does it run? I have no idea, Where would you get anything done on it if needed, dought you could find a garage that would touch one. So you had to be a mechanic with knowlage of them and a complete machine shop garage to work on them. When new was no service on them. Here you would just be getting a boat ancre.
