Kubota L3540 transmission drain plug with J pin thru it. I had a leak about 1" wide 6' long under left side on the ground. Bought new drain plug -KUBOTA Part # 32430-14270 KIT PLUG. Replacement still leaks. I don't know the function of J pin!! Any one want to take a shot at this one.
TIA

Just a guess. Either the front seal of your transmission is leaking. Or the rear seal of you engine is leaking. The “j” pin is there to Keep the bugs and critters out of the housing and yet allow for drainage in case There is a leak in the otherwise dry housing. Just speculating though...

2X what ranchingelec said. That is probably not your transmission, it is your bell housing. Without the pin, when a leak started the hole would quickly plug up with dust and oil so that you would not know about the leak until your engine lost enough oil to lose oil pressure, or your dry clutch stated to slip because it was running in oil, or your transmission bound up due to burned out bearings. You will need to split it to replace BOTH seals along with the clutch release bearing.

Thanks to all who replied. This tractor is dealer bound. I think it is transmission oil.

Be sure that they replace the engine rear main seal, pilot bearing, and clutch release bearing while they are in there.
