Spraying With The 2090

My Canadian relatives don't have any and they claim on an average year they cut 40 bpa durum. We have some chemfallow. Last year my recrop winter wheat ran 15 and my fallow ran 50-60. Only good thing for me was my recrop was only 115 acres so no big deal.

Chem fallow is the way to go I think . I always enjoy your videos spaying Is one of my favorite jobs

Thanks, but I"d say its one of my least favourite jobs. Especially in this windy country. If you are a big enough farmer than it is never too windy but I tend to leave it parked if I have to tie my hat on.

When it’s getting late for the spraying to get done I know the
spray rigs run in a lot more wind than they do when it’s the
beginning of the season . I’ve been doing all the spraying
since I was 13 grandpa didn’t have an eye for the distance
between passes so I got to do it and I’ve always loved it really
felt like I was doing something started on the 4020 I have now
and my dads 25 foot century now I’m still either on that same
4020 or 3020 with a 36 foot century and I still love it

To me its just a necessary evil. I'd happily go organic with no spraying but I hate growing weedy crops. The expense, the weather, the toxic chemicals, the pressure from crop staging and the weather preventing spraying. If I had a modern, self propelled, auto fold machine I think I'd enjoy it a bit more.
I have to admit that the GPS guidance has made it a lot easier job.

There’s not options for weed control in growing crop of small
grain and pastures get brushy and you have to be able to
control the weeds somehow it would be nice just to wave a
magic wand and they would disappear but they won’t and on
dryland weeds and brush just rob that moisture from the crop
you are trying to grow of course you already know that which
is why you are spraying one day when chemicals are
outlawed and all we can use are unicorn farts to help grow
crops I hope I’m not still alive to see it
