Just thought I would show what corn looks like near Kinder, Louisiana.

Pas Bon ( no good). Nice field. Both sets of my grandparents (now deceased) where from Basile. Richard (mother) and Falcon (father). Spent a lot of Summer's there with my brothers. Not giving the long story but grew up in Lock Charles and to Tx and beyond after high school. Aux va swah. Wingnut

Beautiful country, great looking corn, too.

How do they say the name of the town down there?

Kinder like kin-folk, or kinder like to be kind?

Looks like it has a ways to go before frost, but it's early yet, so it'll probably make it.

(quoted from post at 07:53:41 06/06/20) Kinder, like Kin folk

Got it, thanks. I like to know.

Awhile back flew to wash state for niece's wedding. Town nearby was called Washougal. How do you say that? I asked a local, good thing I did.

Wash-uh-gull, he told me. Emphasis on the WASH. How was I saying it? Wash-OOGLE. Emphasis on the OOGLE.

I would've come back home, told ppl where I'd been.

Wash--WHO???
