Can't remember!

Hey guys, what is the name of those spark plugs that are made to fire in oil or fouled cylinders? Something like "Alnor" IIRC. Anyone recall?

Those are the ones. I did a search yesterday, but I can't seem to find a place that sells them outside of Ebay with the collector plugs. I wonder if they are out of business?

If you are having troubles with plugs fouling and you don?t want to open up the engine to fix it you can also install
anti-fouling adapters, see link. There is a possibility that your local auto parts store may have them in stock or
can get them in on their next restock delivery. They do work, maybe not the best thing for efficiently igniting the fuel mixture, but far better than a cylinder not firing at all.

One thing that might help is to put an HEI type ignition in. I gave my brother a CDI unit for his 1970? Toyota Corolla. Before he came back from Japan he put oil in the cylinder to preserve them. I don't know how long it sat like this, but when he tried to start it it would not start. When he engaged CDI it started up immediately.

I don't know if it will fire oil fouled plugs, but it will sure worked in hand crank situations where I was wearing myself out using the standard points and capacitor on a Farmall Super C. By the way both systems I employed utilized the points to trigger the electronics. The one for the Super C was an old hybrid transitorized ignitor from a 1977 Toyota pickup truck.

So if there is enough voltage available a fouled plug might fire.
