Picked up this Allis Chalmers WC today the neighbor got ahold me and was cleaning stuff up wanted this gone and a few bush hogs I've gotta get yet. Hadn't ran in 6-7 years pretty much put gas in it pulled it and it fired right up. Gotta work on the starter it's turning in the housing and doesn't seem to have enough power to turn the motor over with a fresh battery. Any ideas what this thing is that's right in front of your right foot sitting in the tractor it has a pedal and seems to turn off the differential.

The rotating mechanism is the mechanical lift for things like cultivators.

The little foot pedal is a lift trip that rotates when tripped from up to down on a crank like pin. They work, but are like a trip plow (very similar in fact) and only work when moving. Jim

Notice the lever for the disconnect which means the tractor can be stopped and the lift will still work.
