I don't remember his name, but there is an ol boy in Camas, Wa. that has rebuilt two of my AC mags for me. I sent them in to him, and he sent them back, when he was done. I am in Roy Wa.

There's an outfit called Aircraft Magneto near the airport in Seattle. They probably only do airplane stuff, but might be worth a call- (206)768-3099. Could be like a transmission place I called about a Hydramatic transmission out of a '51 Hudson- The guy laughed, and said "We got a retired guy we call in for all the old stuff- he'd kill me if he ever found out I turned down a job on a Hydramatic- that's his favorite."

Also, a guy named Larry Hamilton has a shop in Oakville, near Centralia. I know he rebuilds starters and generators, don't know about mags. (360) 273-4461. He's probably closed down at present, don't know how often he checks messages.

Rudy Calin at Rebuiltmags.com. I work on the side for Rudy, and he has been my 'magneto mentor' for a couple years. That man is a wizard - he has more magneto knowledge in his finger than I have in my entire body! We have a TON of H4's (I can do them in my sleep, now). You can either buy one outright with core exchange or have yours serviced. Photo is just of a few mags and a couple JD carbs I have done for him.
