Parts from yt rant

I used to post on yt, but drifted over to agtalk. If I remember right I have ordered parts from yt a couple times and been satisfied. But a few days ago I ordered a back seat cushion for a Farmall 560 and when it arrived the threaded bolt holes were way off and not even centered on the cushion. I was going to contact yt thru their website, but I couldn't send pictures of the problem and there was no email address where I could include pictures. So I called and waited on hold for 5 minutes before I could talk to someone. He said to email pics to him to show the problem. Email with pics was too big to send so I split it up and then found I had written down the email wrong, he could have emailed me on the address I had submitted when I ordered so I could just reply. So I called customer service again and waited 15 minutes on hold and talked to someone else. He said I could either return the mismade part or exchange it for the higher priced version after he argued with me about whether 3" off bolt holes were close enough. He said not to try ordering another one like I had ordered because they probably all made wrong. So all in all I wasted an hour of time and 50% of my cell phone battery before I got them to say they would send a return tag for the part that was made wrong. I will return it and order from someone else, I don't have time to deal with these kinds of things.

Without any knowledge of the operation
here I'd bet that just like a bunch of
other cyber vendors YT is hands off
flipping parts electronically. That means
you are talking to thier wholesaler, not
anyone connected with tbis site. None the
less the good folks here are the front
and are responsible for whom they
represent. As an aside the quality of
imported aftermarket parts is pretty
miserable across the board at least in my
experience. Glad to hear that tbey did
you right in tbe end.

If they give you too much of a hard time, contact your credit card company and have them get involved. Nothing gets the attention of a business quicker than if money is taken away from them.

sorryto hear you had a problem, but glad they got you fixed up. i have ordered a lot of parts from this site and never had a problem.

Sorry you had a problem with the seat.
Have ordered things from this website and
never a problem.the quality was very good
and priced right.

I wonder how many purchases are made each day where the customer isn't totally happy? I'm guessing maybe hundreds of millions or even more. Just putting things into perspective.

If Farmall seat back cushions are like Deere seat back cushions, it would be easy to either mis-order or receive the wrong seat back cushion.

To compound the problem, I have one tractor that has a seat from another tractor installed on it, and the next owner (one of my sons probably) will get an unpleasant surprise when they unbox the new cushion that they ordered for it. I expect problems with every Deere seat back cushion order that I make, but so far I have came through several transactions unscathed.

I've been satisfied with all parts purchases that I've made from YT.

I've ordered from here a couple of times and everything was alright. But I agree with others that it's hit or miss across the board. I ordered a replacement radiator for my Farmall M from another site and when it arrived the bolt holes were no where near close to the originals. Upon further inspection it looked like the machine creating the joints at the top didn't bend the metal right and the thing rubbed the inside of the nose of the tractor. Returned that one and bought a more expensive model elsewhere, but it wasn't much better.

I attempted to order a sediment bowl gasket for my 2N. The gasket was less than 2 dollars but they wanted 8 or9 dollars for shipping. I asked
them to just mail it for 47 cents and they refused. I cancelled the order.

Most of the aftermarket parts are made in other countries and are hit or miss as to fitment. Buying the same part from another supplier may get you the same non-fitting part.

Let's try to put a little perspective on this.
YT sells parts. They don't make them.
If you buy Tisco parts, for example, you get Tisco parts. No
matter the retailer. If Tisco's supplier makes them wrong, they
make them wrong for all retailers. Not just YT. Luckily, YT was
willing to help with a return.

I truly understand that it is frustrating to get parts that do not fit.
I finally got the right clutch for my tractor after three tries from
two different vendors. But the first time I ordered the wrong one
and the second time it was the wrong part packaged in the right
box from the manufacturer. Not the retailer's fault at all.

I don't see how you copying the address down is there fault.
Not being able to resize the pictures so they can be emailed?
Also not their fault.
Had he emailed you for you to reply, they would still be too big.
