I would like to add a hydraulic cylinder for dumping the debris from a Olathe 48 Sweeper. The Sweeper has a Sundstand-Sauier Model 15-2076 - 90-29-90599 pump. I think that is a hydrostatic/ pump unit. Is it possible install a hydraulic cylinder and valve on that Sundstand? I'll see if I can get a photo on.

Not a lot of info to go on, but it's possible you could.

Need to find out what pressure the pump is capable of making, find what size cylinder diameter you would need to lift the bed by calculating the needed force.

There would need to be an isolation valve to divert the pressure from the existing load to the cylinder.

Likely you can use a single acting cylinder, power up, gravity down. That would simplify the design and save some cost. Just be sure it will gravity return from full up, and not need to be held down or tend to run away once it tips.

You may need to increase the hyd tank size to accommodate the extra volume of the cylinder.

Designing hydraulics is not an easy job. Do your homework! Mistakes are expensive and unforgiving.

If its like a Sundstrand on garden tractors you could take those two plugs out on top the housing and power a remote valve. If you know where there is something like a Massey Ferguson 1650,Ford LGT 165,7100 series Simplicity or similar tractors you could look at those and see how to set it up.

Most likely NOT.

While it's possible a hydro unit of that series could be ordered/spec'ed to provide hydraulic flow for accessories from excess flow from the charge pump, if it wasn't ordered/spec'ed/intended to provide external flow and pressure it will be missing valves and ports to make that happen.
