Wanted to ask you all. Lookin to put .125 pistons in our 38 g. Was told we could possibly put a styled g crank on it and it would give a touch more stroke? Is that true? If so do we need to use different rods? Stock head gonna put bigger valves and port and polish.. let me know just trying to do it myself. all help is greatly appreciated!!!
 
Don't think there is a difference in the stroke of the cranks. Parts book shows they are interchangeable with the difference being the early one's didn't have an add on race on the clutch side where
the later one's did. Also the rods are interchangeable with the later one's having replacement bearings where the earlier one's had babbitt and shims.

Actually it is the A's that had a bigger stroke later on. The G's stayed the same all the way through. Now if you want to really wake it up we have some 10 1/4 inch cranks for sale as well as some
smaller one's.
