See anything wrong here?

I was just looking at our local classified adds and ran across this disc for sale. They said they ran it through the shop and replaced any bad bearings and blades. They just want $1200 for it. How well do you think it will work like that? I don't think I would want to run my tractor through their shop.

bought a snow blower cheap one time guy said it did not throw snow very far , got to looking at it he had the augers switched left to right, hour later it would throw 20feet

I'm guessing they put the shop gopher on the job, because the mechanics didn't want to do it. ( I used to get these jobs as a helper). Darn, that was about 55+ years ago, surprised I remembered.

AAND,their definition of wore out discs don't really agree with mine!................................gtm

Reminds me of a used rider mower I bought once, shop guy told me "Oh, it's been gone through!!!"

Figure 7" standard spool spacers (what ASC sells) between discs...add her up. Looks to have a nice set of scrapers which are hard to find on old equipment. $1200 sounds like a good dealer's price when around here $1500 is about minimum you can buy anything from a used equipment dealer.

Ah ya , armatures , want to be jockey's . If your going to want to command top dollar then fix it right the first time . In other words replace all the ft. gang and make sure you put them on correctly , take the old blade off and save the best scrap the rest .

It looks like a good deal to especially me when you go price one of those little throw away discs at tsc . To fix it all you?d need to do is swap the sides of the front gangs looks to me like you could just pull off the inside hanger off slide each gang out and put it back together

I get my discs from ASC in N.C.....shipping is always high but offsets the cheap price of the discs. I'm in Black Clay and like the 3mm smooth (vs scalloped) discs as they slice the clay (when hard) better. Don't have rocks bigger than an orange and never lost a blade.
