My brother is pretty sure these panels are for a JD 60 ,,It came with a model 227 picker he bought with my dad many, many years ago.Its been in a shed for a long time

He told me the other things are for the 227 picker,,which is long gone,,and the tube is for a mounted cultivator

If anyone needs it,,talk to me,,you can have it for free if you are a member of our Y/t family!

I cannot see a tube in picture but any Deere front mount cultivator does not have a tube., only think that could be considered a tube would be the lift pipes that are a heavy pipe about an inch and a quarte inside diameter andabout if I remember correctly eight feet long. I had front mount cultivators on 4 different 2 cylinder tractors and a 227 picker on a late A tractor, everything is also long gone. I do still have the owners manual and the pars manual for the picker, also several different cultivator manuals.

The tube is the coiled piece maybe used for a fertilizer attachment on the cultivator, but it looks more like a drop tube from a grain drill.

Never saw or heard of a fertilizer attachment for a Deere cultivator. I don't think that is a part of either a cultivator or picker. At first I thought spirle for auger in the picker but does not look to be correct size.

NY, you might consider a road trip to pick them up. I'll bet Larry could be persuaded to cook you a turnip!

I'd love to make the trip but I better get the pickup into the local garbage to do a couple of maintenance items first. For the time being I will try to figure out a way to get the pieces w/o going down. I'll let Larry know one way or the other in the next day or two.

In the 50's jd as well as ihc n few others had
side dressing kits for cultivators to fertilize
corn while cultivating

ok,,no problem and no hurry, the tube is for a sidedresser ,Iknow that for sure,,it was for mounted cultivator with sidedresser on a JD A
