Thinking about adding a drone next year to video some of our haying efforts.

Anyone using a drone to video their farming? What drone do you use?

Any links to YouTube for your drone footage?

Thanks!
Bill

I haven?t posted any, but try to fly my farm once a week or so in season.

I have Phantom 3 Pro.

I will look at a Mavic 2 Pro next. Some chePer Mavic models if you need to be economical.

Bill, my son used one a couple years ago but is too busy now. Lets you see the whole field so you can tell where the weak spots are. On another note, what did you find wrong with your NH rake?

Yes, I've had my Autel drone for several years and my nephew has a DJI Phantom. They are similar in design and most other characteristics. Gives a great view of your farm any time you want. I've shot video year round and have several on youtube under roosty6. I like this one my nephew shot of me swathing oats and canola a couple of years ago with his drone.

I would think any one raising cattle could use a drone for sure. I know my brother could of could of when he raised cattle. Stan

You are right about that as I used my drone to find a cow that had calved out in 7 foot tall bulrushes (or cattails as some call them). There was no way i could find her on foot in that big area but with the drone I sat back on a hill in the pasture and just flew around until I could see her and the calf. Saved me a lot of walking in the heat and mosquitos.

Drone shot from last fall. My canola swaths on right and oat stubble on left.

I never saw a Roosty6 drone video that I did not like. A couple of them were almost inspirational. I would miss them greatly if he lost the drone.

Thanks Bill. Maybe some of them are good for a laugh if nothing else. I'll keep it up for my own amusement if nothing else. There is so much freedom to fly and beautiful scenery around here that I'd miss having my drone views.

Bill, look up Welker Farms on U tube. They have around 250K subscribers, and are sponsored by CNH.

Rusty, Is that at the out end of your long driveway? Probably late evening with the long shadow? If so, then the view is looking south with Lipton way off in the distance. Beautiful country side. As I've said before, it looks similar to the country side of North Dakota where I grew up.

And keep posting your videos. There are fun and educational to watch. I just hope you can get your work done while doing videos at the same time !!

Thanks - the New Holland 56 is on the back burner. I used my trusty JD350 3pt PTO driven rake all summer on the MF50 diesel. I?ve got a lot of winter projects and the 56 is one of them.
