wife and I will take the tractors across again this year, I built a matched pair of farmall ''M'', cant tell them apart. turned RPM up to about 2400 and they will run 25 mph any one else going?

I'm going again this year, will join the group from near Laingsburg for the 2 1/2 day, 250 mile trip on tractors to the staging area. Will have about 3,900 miles on the 560D by then this year, with two more rides to do after the bridge crossing.

I got stuck right in the middle of a tractor-crossing in my pickup truck. Wasn't fun, but kind of funny at the same time. I have to cross the Mac Bridge a lot late summer and fall. That because I live on both sides. Seems there is always some sort of crossing going on. The "walk" is the worst. Used to be fine a few years back when the bridge was kept partly open for people who NEEDED to get across. But now? Closing the entire bridge to vehicles so some people can walk half-way or all the way across due to terrorism concerns? Also the "Double-cross." Not something I am crazy about.

It WAS kind of funny when we got stuck in the middle of the tractor crossing. Tractor in front of us broke down and there was oil all over the road. So everything came to a half for awhile. I got to take some good photos from my truck.

I have been trying every year to get a tractor to go across. I have been to most all crossing as a spectator. I have a farmall H that could do the trip but cant seem to find time or trailer. This is the first I have heard of the tractor ride to get there. I would be interested in hearing more about that. Maybe get involved somehow. Maybe attend a local fuel stop with some refreshments or something. Any info would be appreciated.
