Made it after all, cool show again. I only got over for a few hours in the afternoon.

Really enjoyed the hay barn recreation, found my brand of hay sling and trolley, don?t have to climb up in the peak of my barn now!

Those fellas and gals putting the weekend on do a heck of a job on that show. Weather was perfect today, mid 70s mostly sunny little breeze.

I?m guessing my pics won?t post today, we will see.

I'd like to hit that show some year.

Guess I should have suggested it THIS year... not too often that we get several days in a row in August with high temps only in the 70's and not humid either.

I've collected several "hay carriers" from "back in the day".

Can you imagine the era in which they were "the latest and the greatest"?

Leading edge technology for their time, for sure!

Hey! They got all those crooked tractors set back up. Was there Wednesday and Friday. I was very impressed at the feature. The girls fed me a darn good roast beef sandwich. Best part was when I found my old pal Loren.

We're going to meet some friends at Perkins for breakfast this morning then head that way. Be there 10ish. I'll be wearing a gray Yesterday's Tractors hat.
Next year the FFCA will have their national meet there. I'm hoping to have my 4200 done and bring it.

The bale fork used putting hay in mow was probably an H&B
bale fork. We bought an IH 45T and used grapple fork until he
was frustrated and designed this fork and local blacksmith
built fork . Soon neighbors wanted one and a business was
born. Their business sold hundreds of these forks till most
barns all had one.

Dad said my bale forks was built by the welding shop in town here. I bought another a few years ago at auction for $1, I was using mine into the 2000s. I have a drive in upstairs barn. Well, push in. Hay on the left side, straw on the smaller right side.

I am in the process of putting my rope and trolley/hayfork back in use, I acquired an electric motor driven winching set up from an abandoned barn nearby. I figure I can unload hay by myself with it. I hope to have it going for next seasons hay.
I am only 20 minutes from the Pioneer Power show grounds and was there today. I enjoyed that barn along with the double corn crib and old feed mill demos. Very nice show and weather.
