Time for a new sickle mower belt

The old Massey Ferguson 238 finally needs a new belt. The old one has more cracks than the back of my neck.
Questions: Any one have a part number for this? Any markings are long gone. And it is stretched after many years.
Any good places online to order? I'd rather have it sent to the house than to drive all over looking for it.

Look up Vbeltsupply.com, best place to do business I know of. They will tell you how to measure for one that fits.

Unless someone comes up with a part number...

Here's a link to determine the type (cross section), and how to determine the number based on the length measurement.

Since your belt is still intact but unusable, just cut it, stretch it out and measure it. Deduct down to the next size to allow for stretch.

That the original belt lasted a long time, you can get by with a standard belt. If you want to upgrade, go with a Kevlar belt.

Lots of places to buy online. Once you determine the belt you need, just search that belt, compare prices and shipping, and return policy, just in case...
Belt ID

I've never seen a 238 but it looks a lot like my 41's. C103 "should" fit. The idlers can be arranged to fit a belt that may be close, I've had to do that a few times. The Agco parts book doesn't show a 238 but the 41 belt is 195672M1 and it says 105 inches so it would technically be a C102. Also some places call for a C101 so your choice. If the one you get is fairly tight fit then place the idlers on the inside of the loop, if fairly loose then place the idlers on the outside. If it's in between you can place one idler on the inside and one on the outside.

MF#1 may have it. I had the same results, 238 doesn't come up as a mower in the parts book. In your picture I can't read what, if anything, is in the model area of the tag. 238 is with the serial number.

Gates interchange crosses the MF 195672M1 to a C101. "C" section belt, .88" top width, 105" outside diameter. NAPA is a C101 as well.

Identical to my MF41. Just replaced the belt on mine with a 105" but likely a 102 or 103 will work. You can adjust the tension by moving the drive pulley too. I did on mine but it took a bunch of Penetrating oil and love taps. Had to press mine into service after the gearbox bearings went out of my Haybine. Worked well after some minor repairs and setup.

Thanks to all! All good information.
I'm sure you guys are correct on the model number, I was thinking it was the 238 number. Thanks again.

I got a belt for an MF 41 from A&I fit perfect. Looked it up by model number too.
