Took hay off this field, ploughed it and ran over this field twice with the disc, then the corn planter.

As I was finishing up, it started raining. This is the hilliest field on my farm. Always seems you?re going up, or down, nice challenge to plough.

Always a good feeling to be done. Our corn and beans are all planted and up. I am trying an experiment this year by planting some forage sorghum for the beef cows. It will be planted in rows with the corn planter and chopped with the corn head after frost has dried it down. Hope to get it in this week. Tom

Friend grows some sorghum, cuts it green and bales it and wraps it for milk cows.

Oh I?m not too worried, I have planted as late as June 25 in the past, and gotten corn to chop. Lots of corn has gone in within the last few days, not for grain of course.

Due to cool wx here last month corn I planted on 16 May took 15 days to emerge. That's a personal long time record for me.
