Hydraulic Cylinder Clevis

I have a hydraulic cylinder that is missing the clevis on the end of the ram. I would like to find another one and clamp on it so that I can use it. However, it does not have threads like most I have seen but a indented collar for a press fit clevis.

Thanks!

I had one like that I found a threaded one that I?ve the shaft then clamped the pinch bolt tight on the clevis then welded the clevis to the shaft

I was looking at getting the one in the link and using it. Grind the chrome on the end and weld it on. This cylinder is going on a old Case disk (non wheeled) so it wont see too much use and abuse.
Weld on link

Extend that rod as far as you can and wrap it with a cold wet towel to keep it from cooking the packing as you weld, a lot of heat will walk up that rod in a hurry

While I am all for "saving" or re-purposing things, at $41.05 with shipping, that clevis will cost you the better part of half the price of a new cylinder at a decent local farm supply store.

I do not know how to post a link but Surplus Center has you Clevis for around 20 bucks.

A cast iron clevis would NOT be a good choice for welding to the steel "rod" (as the O.P. is proposing to do), IMHO.

I wondered about that to but I got lucky and mines
holding that I did on my scraper and I?ve given it
quite a it of abuse . I didn?t have to buy anything i
already had the clevis it was threaded on but i hit a
big solid frozen snow bank and it jerked the clevis
right off the rod taking the threads with it

If the O.P. has the tools to drill or holsesaw 3 holes in 3 pieces of 3/8" or 1/2" X 2.5" or 3" flat steel stock it would not take much work or a lot of $$$ to make and weld together a steel clevis similar to the bent and formed one first suggested.
