Here is that junk Ford 9600 from an auction with some improvements, just needs the rest of the hood put on.
I made a video of it and I drove it. Also I forgot to tell you that I had my Case 430 working a few days ago.

I saw your video of the 430 grading the roadways yesterday. Quite the seat cushion you have there. I used to have some of them myself.

That's a pretty sweet tractor! A couple years back I went to look at a 9600 that a guy told me he wanted $2750 for it. It was a project for sure, but I felt bad not buying it, I hope it went to a good home. It had bald, cracked 20.8-38's on the rear, the front tires had the ribs peeling off, it had a completely rusted out cab, but it ran like a watch. The rest of the sheet metal was perfect. It had some sort of hyd oil leak under the cab where you couldn't see it, but it was leaking really badly. I really wanted it, but didn't want a money pit. What turned me off to it, was the guy showing it to me jumped right up on it when I got there and fired it right up. It was cold, it hadn't been started before I got there, but when he was describing the oil leak to me, and I told him I didn't see much leaking currently, he told me that was because it all leaked out before he started it for the last guy a week or so ago. Now, he had only owned it for a few months, and hadn't used it at all after he decided it was too big for him. I knew it's history, because I knew the farm where it was bought new and had spent the entire other part of it's life. What really got me though, was that he said that it had ran out of hyd oil before the last person had looked at it, let alone the 5 minutes it ran when he started it after I got there, so I asked him how long he had it running for them too. He said about half an hour. Half an hour! With no hyd oil! While he had it started I had grabbed the steering wheel and it wouldn't steer, the 3 point wouldn't raise at all. That's when I started asking about the oil leak and found out that it had been run without oil for so long. He had started it before I had a chance to check any of the fluids in it. I wish it was in my shed right now, but with the hydraulics being run without oil, that made up my mind. It set there for about a month after that, then it was gone. Hope someone bought it and fixed it up. He told me he would not take less than the $2750 He had into it, and wouldn't take any offer less than that. I wonder if he got tired of it setting and ended up taking a loss on it. If it could have been had for $2000, I'd have been all over it.

Looks like you'll have quite the workhorse when you're done with it.

If you decide you don't like it (size, [b:868afb672b]color[/b:868afb672b]...[i:868afb672b]ANY[/i:868afb672b] reason), I've got a Farmall 460 gasser I'll trade you. I won't even charge extra for the loader. *lol*

I wonder if that pre-cleaner will melt. You need a little jag in that pre-cleaner pipe.

It sounds like it has a lot of power. Does it shift good?
