An article in farm paper says a 40 ac farm once owned by A Lincoln at Charleston IL is being auctioned today. 10 acres of the 40 was taken off the farm at some point and is part of an Illinois State Park. Sounds like Lincoln was busy doing other things during the time he owned it 1841-1861 so he leased the farm ground to his father for the time he owned it. No tractors at that time so they had to use horses to farm. Wonder what that will sell for with historic value it has. Any of you been over there to see the farm , maybe you are at the auction today.
