Spent the day doing the last cleaning and organizing to the shop today. Got it all cleaned and organized and ready for projects. Figured I better get a pic or two because it likely the last time it will be this clean again. Lol

I too have been doing my spring cleaning, spring of 1998. If it's been in my garage for 20 years and I haven't used it, it on the way to the recyclers. Got one more trailer load going to recyclers tomorrow.

Hey Jon, looks good, you going to do anything about lighting? Put some LED's in and they made a great difference.

Seeing that much clear floor space is unsettling. I might have to watch a chick flick or two with Dixie to get the image out of my mind. :)^D

Agreed. Looks like the framing for the liner sheets and insulation are in place. Do you think we need to remind Jon that he?ll move all that stuff absinthe to do the inside work?

Hey that looks good -- room for more stuff! did You show the better half? see I dont have that much stuff!!!boy Honey you should go to a farm sale somewhere!HHee He__ Roy

I ran a torpedo heater and it made it real nice to work in there. Just being out of the wind made it better. Didn't take long to get cold once I opened the doors tho.

This one is near new and designed to run on diesel. It doesn't smoke much I've on no2. I'm impressed, of course the shop isn't real air tight.

I hauled milk for a couple years and ended up with a bunch of those. For the whole time we never bought milk, always had more rejects than we could drink. Gave lots away to neighbors too. Some was rejected just because the box was damp from being cold.

OK Jon, explain this to me: How in the world are you gonna find your tools without them being on the floor where you left them. Just joking, that shop looks good, gonna have to get after mine just as soon as I get the energy. Keith

No, no, no. You just cleaned the obvious open area. Where did you put all the crap ? AND is it truly cleaned in those corners ? ;^) - Happy 2019

was the building designed to have a ceiling ?? i'm wondering about all the stringers. kinda look out of place.

That's what they are for. Someone had started the process of getting it insulated and lined.

All the "less good stuff" went into the barn, so when I want to use the barn I can move it again. I don't have any"crap". Lol

Yes lighting is not great now. There is power for it, but the lights are not in. The bulbs you see are mostly led. I'm going to get more and brighter ones. There is a line of outlets along the south wall, across from the tools, that is also on a switch and can be used for lighting. I may put some in there too. They designed it to use plug in sockets in outlets like in the ceiling so it's easy to add more.

Jealous! What size is it? And I would add that it wouldn't take much to insulate it and screw a ceiling in. Good job!

It looks like that shed was set up to be insulated and lined. If you just lined the ceiling you could save a lot of heat but you would have to line the WHOLE ceiling. My experience is the heat goes up really fast in a shed like that. If desired the next step would be to spray in 2" of closed cell foam.

Looks nice.
