The four, triple expansion steam pumping engines at the Cincinnati Water Works were put in service in 1906 and operated until 1963. During their 57 year service life, they were never rebabitted.
The engines are still there folks, and you can visit to see them. 1,400 tons, five stories high, 85' below ground, they are a sight to see.
