Custom guy came saturday. First load didn't go as planned. Luckily, a friend had his excavator close by and was able to bring it on short notice. The ground is so saturated from all the rain; I never expected a problem where the chopper sank. While the excavator was there, Randy loaded most of the dumped corn into an unloading wagon so I could salvage it.
The chopper got stuck later on the river flat, but I was able to pull out the wagon, and then the chopper, backwards with the 3588 2+2. We had to leave some of the fields I wanted to chop and instead chopped part of a field 4 miles away that I expected to combine. But we finished today and the pile is covered. I will have some odd shaped areas of fields to combine where the chopper couldn't go.
