You plowboys still turning up Indian artifacts?

We used to find arrowheads, Indian beads, and my brother found a tomahawk head. Haven't found anything in a long time.

Needless to say it's not like it used to be. I found a few arrowheads long ago while cultivating very SLOWLY. Hard to see them going FAST with a sprayer.

Years ago all the farmers had a collection of Indian grinding bolls and stones. There are a few Dad found still around. I did find a flat rock I believe it was used to cook on. That is what I tell everyone anyway. Stan

Quite a few. In fact my BIL and I were looking for them this afternoon while fixing fence. We found some scrapers and quarry blanks. Nothing fancy but it keeps him coming out to help me. Tony

Plowed up a stone grain mesh bowl a few years back. An arrowhead occasionally. Home of the Chickasaw and hunting ground of the Shawnee.

Back in the '70's, we had a field tiled and all kinds of sea shells come up with the dirt!! Guess that means the farm was under sea water many years ago. Sunday, when we were digging my dog's grave, an oyster shell turned up!!

We live on an old Chickasaw village in mid Tenn. Nearly every trip out to check the cows I get something.
Got to where I leave almost everything alone unless it is exceptional. Digging to plant wife's rose bush by front steps & found spear point.

Used to find a lot of arrow heads in the fresh plowed fields, not so much anymore....but....they still surface in the creek that runs through the farm after a heavy flow from a heavy rain.
