Not sure if good or bad

I am in Omaha for a few days, on I80 East of Omaha I saw a pickup with trailer on the upper edge of a steep embankment with a large JD tractor upside down in the ditch below the trailer. Apparently the bindings let loose, but probably kept the truck from rolling down the embankment. From what I can tell, it looked like the truck was a Dodge 2500 or 3500, tractor looked sizable

On a long and lonesome highway East of Omaha you can listen to engine moaning out his one note song....sorry it popped into my head when I seen east of Omaha.

I wonder if he lost control in the rain. The news just reported a little over 8” of rain in Omaha, 12” in Woodbine, a little north east of Omaha.

A few years ago I saw a trailer with an Oliver 70 on board, upside down in the ditch with the tractor still held firmly in place. The pickup must have lost the trailer because the pickup was nowhere in sight. The weakest link was obviously ahead of the trailer.

(quoted from post at 19:15:13 08/20/18) Always bad :-(
Here's one that happened last Saturday, ouch!
Ouch

He will now be getting an inspection nearly as intensive as one by the YTDOT.

It's hard to guess what could have happened without pictures, lots of possibilities. The tie downs could have broken loose as the trailer flipped over, or the tractor could have moved on the trailer and caused the accident. Maybe the tractor moved far enough to change the tongue weight and caused the trailer to whip back and forth or maybe a tractor wheel fell off the trailer causing the tractor to fall off sideways.

Even if someone else had hit the trailer and caused the accident, shouldn't the load have stayed tied down tight to the trailer? I'm asking.
