It did in 1938. Going to local fire department car show later. Thought I would give them something to talk about.

If there was ever an accident I wouldn't want it in the cab with me. I only go slow so many people do stupid things. I was passed on a hill double yellow line 7:30 this morning. Caught up to them at the next red light.

I would say it passes sms, gorgous truck and it's so nice to see it restored and on the road, we have lost so much of our transportation and farming history. thank you for posting sms.

I think most of us will be looking at the nice looking old truck rather than the violation of using too many straps and chains to hold its contents down.

Re passing on a hill on solid line, yesterday I went to visit my brother on the farm and on the way on a heavily traveled county road that the speed limit was 50 MPH, I caught up to a JD Sprayer on a hill that was taking up the full width of the west bound lane of the road. I was content to stay behind the sprayer until the other side of the hill but a fancy PU came racing up behind me and just pulled out and passed both myself and the sprayer before the crest of the hill. After the sprayer and myself crested the hill there was a car in the east bound lane. If this east bound car had arrived about 30 seconds earlier there would have been a major crash with the PU.

Unfortunately city folks have no idea to drive on country roads and safely pass farm equipment.

Actually Jim, I think your comment on driving safety on country roads could include country folk as well, just not city people. I've experienced some pretty scary incidents with farm trucks and equipment and it wasn't always city folks who were careless.

I think the majority of drivers today got their driver liscense mail order or online! Half of the vehicles I meet in a two lane road on a curve are over the center line a lot more stupid things also!
