A month ago,I posted about a toolbar on a tractor that had a planter unit way out on each end of it and wondered if it was pumpkins or something. I was by there today and there's corn growing in that field,so apparently everybody who said it was male rows for seed corn had it right.

Yes there?s a company around here from Argentina that does that for their plots. I ripped their ground last fall and field cultivated all of it this spring. Might be the best money I make farming all year! I also rented them 4 acres of my ground in a bottom field. It?s 3 acres of corn plots and an acre of sunflowers. I hope I have a cool picture to share when they all bloom

I did one of those research plots a few years back. Several acres of corn,2 rows about 20 feet then a space and start over with a new hybrid. Harvest time came around and they hauled in a little gleaner that harvested, weighed and checked moisture.

Here around Monsatan, oops, Bayer/Monsatan(BM)uses New Holland with 2 row head. 1 row in each half of the combine that has 2 monitors separating the combine. They had one in Chicago at a trade show. The truck hit a low underpass and did $250K damage.
