1994 Ford f350 tail light wiring

Trying to fix the wiring on my tail lights. Have figured out where all my wires go buy one. It makes continuity to ground but I don't know if they ran a ground wire from the cab? Or did they just use the frame as it has a frame ground too? I bought the truck with no bed and the harness was hacked.

Being the harness was hacked, all bets are off as to what was originally there.

If you have determined what you need to make the lights work, I would just cap off the mystery wire.

I doubt it would be a ground all the way from the cab. If in doubt about the bed ground, just run another to the frame to be sure.

May be the backup lights. It goes to the transmission on my 1985

It doesn't seem to have trailer wiring. I thought it might be the power wire but it is grounded now.
I have back up, tail light and both turn signals. Could be factory trailer brake but I don't think so since it's grounded.
