Had enough winter

I am giving up, heading to Phoenix for a few days.

More snow and cold forecast for this week in Iowa, but maybe some spring when I get back.

While I don't have a problem with snow the last several days it's been getting down to the low 40's. That temperature is more common for February here I north Texas.

Plowed 6" of snow yesterday morning with the back blade. I took the big plow off my other tractor cause I thought it wasn't going to snow anymore. At least it will it will be gone in a few days but then there's the mud, can't win. Would rather be plowing dirt then snow.

The night before last I went to bed and the ground was bare, woke up to everything covered with 6 inches of snow. Went to work and when I got home it was all gone.

I fired up the wood stove yesterday, Get up temp was 39. Had been right at pleasant for a week or so and just needed a little propane snort in the mornings. Spring is sprung, everything is leafing out, volunteer rye is everywhere and my peas are over 2' and bumper to bumper. Will make a super crop this go-round.....er ah as long as I get a window to do a decent harvest. Would sure hate to have this crop turn up moldy. Today it was 60. another nice day on the way. Wink! Aah, life is good.

A few days in Phoenix ought to be a nice break from a winter that keeps hangjng on.
In less than 2 weeks I will be heading from Northern IL to the Vegas area where there is sure to be plenty of sunshine and I can hardly wait.
