question on permanent old oil filter... F20 vs Regular

We bought an old type of permanent oil filter on ebay... I think it's brass.

ANYWAY THE QUESTION IS:
Why would this filter cause our Farmall F-20 to build up pressure if he uses it... yet it works just fine, with no pressure build-up if used on our Farmall Regular?

Just seems odd, since those two tractors are so similar.

Thanks if you can help.

Only thing I can think of is it is still partly clogged? they where a bugger to get clean. Or the F-20 has a blockage in a oil line somewhere.

there are two types.. a full flow and a bypass...

A bypass has a restricter in the input line by design and should NOT be used in a full flow line, only in a bypass senario.

Maybe this will help??
