wire spoke wheels were available for T's, but the bolt patern for the T was 5x5", while the Model A bolt pattern were 5x5 1/2"

The green coupe in the last picture is just like one I had from the late 70's to the late 80's. Had a lot of fun recovering and rebuilding it. The rest are gorgeous.

Towards the last of the Model T production, mid to late 1926 Ford needed some dressing up to keep some sales happening. In 1925 they had changed to the 21 inch wheels with wood spokes and detachable rims. Had 4 lugs to hold the rim on the wheel. These gave the Model T a somewhat lower and more modern look. After a while they offered the wire spoke wheels as an option and made a retro kit to be able to change all the 21 inch wheels to wire spoke if wanted by the owners. Then about the last 6 months of the Model T production all model T's were delivered with wire wheels.

It is amazing to me how many of the wire spokes for Model T's have survived to present day. They do make a Model T look good! The wire spoke wheels had the same tire on a solid drop center rim that the wood spoke wheels used from 1925 on. The Model A in 1928 and 1929 also used the same size tire, 440-450-21.
