No, just sand. The dog and my self are at the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. The sand is just as white as it can be. My Ford E450 towing my Chevy Tracker (a Suzuki). I purchased the Tracker to be Toad. After I traded my 08 Ford Edge, I needed something a little lighter. We did see some real snow higher up in the mountains. I know the meaning of slick ice. I was walking and stepped on some ice, and went right down on my a$$, and hit my head on the road. It happened REAL fast. Being from California I have never experienced anything like that. I am going to have to cut a lot of weeds to pay for that trip, at 8-9 miles per gallon. I got back last Friday. Stan

Getting away for awhile is good for the attitude. Glad you enjoyed he trip. That ice can put you down real quick, as you found out. Even we ‘experienced’ northerners get a sudden refresher course on what it feels like once in awhile.

I?ve never seen snow that white in my life . Be careful on the ice I fell down a year ago on hit my head so hard I couldn?t see for about 5 minutes and I didn?t feel good for two weeks glad ya didn?t get hurt it sounds like

37Chief,

Great pics. At first glance, it nearly looked like snow... but the t-shirt seemed incongruous with our kind of white stuff. LOL

Up until 3 or 4 years ago I was pretty good on ice, then I fell on a Thursday afternoon, Friday morning and Sat. afternoon on the highway in front of my mailbox. Two out of the three times flat on my back, wacked my head both times, could barely get around for a month.

I don't remember the commercial, but her mane is Dixie. She is a rescue dog from Mississippi. Some dogs were brought to California from Mississippi. She's a good dog, and gets along with our two cats. Stan

That falling on the ice is no good for you. A number of years back a local farmer was napping on the couch one winter afternoon while his wife went outside to get the mail or something. She slipped and fell on the ice, knocked her self out and froze to death while he laid there on the couch.
