Where have the High Crop tractors gone?

From about 1990 to 2010, I new of least 14 men who were or had hauled, by my estimate 700-800 High Crop Tractors from California, Louisiana and Florida. It is still a rarity to see one at the Midwest shows that I have attended. Just my curiosity, Where did they all go?

They were not a collector magnet decades ago unlike more current times so many went to the parts yards. High crops were fairly uncommon around this area but I remember a few mom and pop yards way back many years ago that had Farmall HV and MV tractors there. I never asked as how they came to be there and whether they might have come from someplace such as Yoder and Frey in Ohio.

They are probably around. Probably in somebody's shed somewhere. A bit more spooky to load on a trailer and haul than a regular tractor, I would think.

Kind of like Minneapolis-Molines down here in NC. Its not uncommon to talk to a 'green' collector who "has a Minneapolis-Moline at home." But he's showing his 'green' tractor in the long row of other 'green' tractors.

There are still plenty in Louisiana, may be getting short on new generation JD high crops but plenty of AC's and IH's.

I have a HV row crop (the wide front end style) that is sitting
under a poly tarp in my back yard. When the temps in my area
get above 40F I do like to get her running to get that engine warmed up in good shape. In Maine we get our fair share of Snow.
So you can me as one site that has a Row Crop Tractor.
