No oil pressure MM z

Changed the oil did away with the bell canister with the cloth filter, bought Wix 5161R race filter which i do believe is same as 5161 at napa, anyways new oil adapter and filter but no oil pressure? Is there something i need to change/check ? It had great oil pressure before but none after installing the spin on filter? Does it take a while for pressure to build with the new spin on filter? I did unscrew filter to see if oil had made it inside in which it came pouring out??

If you are expecting a partial flow filter, that number does not sound right, that would be a 1050.

Not sure but i think a 1050 will no work correctly with this underneath filter area, ?
The gasket is no wide enough to make contact with the edge.

There are 2 types filter systems, full flow, and bypass.

Look at the old oil filter assembly, see if there is a restrictor orifice. If so, it is a bypass system, and that restriction needs to be there, or all the oil dumps back into the oil pan.

If it is a bypass system, you can still use the spin on. Either find a filter with a restrictor, or make a restrictor plug for the pressure line.

Did you read Charlie Biler's reply to your post in the MM forum? He listed the filter numbers to use, and also mentioned something about an anti-drain back feature in some filters which you do not want.
