Stock truck tank

Needing help locating a gas tank for a 71 IH
fleetside stock truck. It is a step tank. Any help
appreciated

Something like that might be hard to ship so your location would be good. I have 3 old IH trucks sitting around that will never run again that may have a tank like your wanting I live in Missouri the Lake of the Ozarks area

Finding a fit will take measurements and guessing will not make a deal. Your specific measurements and a photo will go a long way toward a solution. IH used hundreds of OEM suppliers for components from axles to ignition systems. Jim

2 of the trucks are tandem axle gas rigs and the other one is a cab over all around 70s in years

If that is so I may have a tank but hard to say for sure since they did use a number of different size tanks over the years. Only way I know to be even close would be to measure the tank. The 2 tandem axle trucks I have are also twin stick transmission if that means any thing

Why not just ad a generic tank to the frame behind the cab, and continue using the one for a step?

Mount a new tank as mentioned.
Anything used you find will probably be in the same or worse condition.
