I was curious how the new 2140 JD would work on the Massey square baler. Happy to report as of today that it works great. I made about 70 square bales just to shine up the old 120 baler. Able to make a decent bale even from the axial combined wheat and oat straw. That shift on the go is right handy. And the easiest steering tractor I've ever driven. Just has a good feel to it all around.

I have a 2440 and it is a real handy tractor to use. Unlike you, I grew up with John Deere's and like the way they handle.

I grew up baling with Massey balers. First a model 3 and later a 12. I remember them as being hungry. if you kept them full they made a nice bale. Later Pa got a NH and that was less hungry.
