Opinions on John Deere 670

I'm looking for a compact tractor. a new one is definitely not in my budget. after doing some research I'm lesning towards a green tractor. there's a nice looking 670 available. it's clean, has good tires, 953 hours, 2WD, power steering, wheel weights, & 3 cyl. diesel. tractor data says it's a green yanmar. there are also some 700 & 800 series for sale. any opinions on this model compared to the 700 & 800 series tractors & on what this might be worth. he's asking as much for it as some are asking for say a 750 or 855. also this tractor comes with no attachments.

Depending on what you want to do with it being only 2 wd really hurts the prices and performance of a compact. The previous model was a 650 and was only a 2 cyl. engine. So I wonder if this is only a 2 cyl. ?

We have a 750 and it can really do a lot of work for it's size. But it is a 4x4 model and it makes night and day difference when you run in 4x4 mode.
 
We have a 4600 which also has a Yanmar engine, and at 1032 hours it has required no unscheduled maintenance, very good. And it starts instantly! But for my use I would not want one without FWA, especially for loader work. It all depends what you are going to use it for.
 
it would mostly used for plowing, discing, & tilling my garden. a blade or snow caster might be in the mix too. I happened to be at a gas station & a guy was filling up his 855.he had nothing but good to say about it. the 855 looks like a lot more tractor. the owner of the 670 is wanting $5200.00.
 
I did see at JD parts site the 670 does have a 3 cyl. engine. Being only 2wd usually hurts the price a lot. That one does appear to be in good shape too bad it is not 4x4. I'd think you could find a larger model like a 750 with 4x4 for that much money ? Or another 2 wd not a JD for 1/2 or less than that price.
