I just purchased a 1948 John Deere D and want to start out with new fluids and filters. Since I haven't owned an antique tractor before I am open to things to be
done before I put some run time on this tractor. This weekend I will let it warm up enough to get a good oil change, and have purchased an oil filter, gasket,
and 14 quarts of oil. I can see how to check and drain the oil and change the filter, and the only way I see to refill the oil is through the crankcase breather.
Is that correct?
