Slip clutch

I was doing some bushhogging today with my Ford 8n and I had a new slip clutch that I bought a couple weeks back. I have used it only a couple hours and it came apart. The outside came apart from the inside the outside stayed on the bushog and the rest stayed on the tractor. Anyone had this happen I wonder if it was a bad clutch or could something be wrong with the tractor

Is it a slip clutch or an over-running clutch?

Not sure it went over the shaft and you took off the grease fittings and drove a pin trough the shaft and then put the grease fittings back on. It seemed like it worked ok when I engaged the clutch the Bush hog did not push the tractor

Sounds like over-running and not slip clutch. Bought a new over-running a couple of years ago and have not put it or the mower on yet.
